This is a quilt I made for my mother. I finished the field at a quilt retreat in Wimberly in June 2012. I originally planned to add a thin green batik border where the rose one is, but when I auditioned it, it did not work. I got it quilted in July 2012. I ended up binding in that green - it works a lot better on the outside of the big border. My mother will be visiting in two weeks and I will give it to her then.
We are a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law who have quilted together for over ten years. This blogs represents an album of our past and future quilts. Peggy (MIL) is retired and made the majority of the quilts that appear on this site. She is also adventurous and has made quilts in a variety of patterns and styles. Sally (DIL) fits quilting around her job. She does smaller quilts. (Charm packs are your friend!) She has made some bigger quilts, but they take longer!
